Old Time Candy has been my favorite since I discovered them at Christmas Time. I sent the Decade 4 Pound box to my parents (for the 60s) since that’s when they got married.  To my husband’s parents for 70s since that’s when the got married, and to my sister for 2000s since that’s when she got married.  These boxes are so fun to go through once they are delivered.  It takes a while, because there are so many great, old fashioned, candies.

So you might be asking:  Which decade? Determine the year in which the gift recipient was 10 years old. If they were 10 years old in 1972 then a 70s Decade Gift Box would be a good choice. If they were 10 years old in 1979 then maybe an 80s box would be better.

And don’t forget:  “Remember When” booklets: Complete your gift with a 24-page, full-color booklet filled with fascinating information that is sure to trigger many emotions as they reminisce about their special year; only $5.99 each.

You can also personalize the greeting that gets sent with your 4 pound box.

I have been wanting to try this company for awhile. I think I’d love to try the 70s candy that I remember from my childhood. It might be interesting to try candy that came before my time, too.

  3. Susan Burge says:

Goodess, so many candies I remember from my childhood (have to go with the 50s box, I guess). It’s hard to pick one favorite, so the assortment is a great idea. I remember my father and I loved root beer barrels when we went on vacation.

  22. Jennifer Essad says:

I love this idea especially for a surprise birthday party like 50 yrs. I think we all have favorites. We used to go to the beer/party store on our lunch breaks in elementary school in the 60’s – the candy was awesome Charm suckers would put in free coupons sometimes, the bubble gum game in 1 foot ropes and they had cinnamon. I so wish I could remember who made them because I’ve been looking for them at this type of outlet. Thanks for sharing it would be so much fun to win. I’d use this for our daughter wedding rehearsal dinner.

  23. This is such a good idea! Some of these candies are so hard to find. I haven’t seen them in years and didn’t even know they made some anymore!
