Ohio Flame Pit Review and Giveaway

ohioflame Ohio Flame Pit Review and Giveaway

In December, I was lucky enough to be selected by Ohio Flame to review a flame pit from their Patriot Line.  My husband and I had been wanting a fire pit for a while, so I was very eager and excited for this opportunity.  I quickly read up on our city’s regulations regarding fire pits and got the necessary permit, which was simple and straight-forward and didn’t cost me a cent.

The unit arrived quickly.  I came home one day to find a huge and very heavy box on my front porch.  This baby is solid steel and American-made – both the construction of the fire pit and the steel it’s made from.  I asked my husband to help me set it up, and his initial response was that he didn’t have time to put something together.  I told him to take a look at it, and he was pleasantly surprised.  It comes ready to use and is already set up and ready to go the minute it comes out of the box!

As you can see above, it’s a nice size and very stylish.  It’s got a classic facade and would look good with any landscaping style.

Obviously, my dear husband moved it outdoors for me, as it is quite heavy, and set up the fire for us to make s’mores.  The kids were so excited.  I was worried that we’d all be too cold, but this unit really puts off a great deal of heat.  It was very cozy and lots of fun!  Since it comes put together and is crafted so well and so sturdy, it’s easy to move (albeit a bit heavy).  We like having neighborhood parties and live in a circle.  This will be a huge hit at our neighborhood parties in the circle in the coming months!

There’s really no reason to have to put your marshmallows so close to the fire; we just happen to like ours burnt!

My experience with the company has been extremely positive.  Their sales and marketing department are top notch and very responsive.  The quality of the unit is top-notch.  Even better, it requires absolutely no maintenance and is crafted to endure the elements all year, which is great considering the extremes in weather and temperature in our region.  They carry a lifetime warranty, offer free shipping, and no tax (except for in Ohio).  It’s an incredible value for a terrific product, and I highly recommend them.

I used to go camping with my mom and brother when I was a teenager. Those were some of the best times, city kids cooking hot dogs & S’mores on an open campfire in the forest. I used to love to watch the fire, watching the flames flick into the air, bits of burnt wood sparking and popping…

  6. My best memory camping is when me and my son went camping when he was 3 years old. We had a blast sitting by the camp fire, roasting marshmallows and hot dogs, and playing in the dirt while watching friends catch fish. We really need to do that again.
